Yehey! I was able to pass the Big 4! The Big 4 universities that is.. Namely De Lasalle University (as you read my previous blog entry), Ateneo de Manila University, University of Sto. Tomas, and University of the Philippines.

The Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) results was released last Jan. 10. I was at the school that time listening to the orientation for the scouting activities which was held yesterday. Actually, there was no notification from the ateneo site when is the schedule for the release of results, but then, I had joined this forum whose members were mostly aspirants also of the big 4 so they told me when. While I was in school, my chatmate Mark (misako) who was a member of the forum informed me that the ACET result is already out 8 am in the morning! I was trying to reach my bro via phone to check it for me since I was in school. When I didn't receive any reply, I went home immediately while Hearty who was with me that time went to the capital gym instead to give support for my classmates who had a ball game that time.. I had a hard time trying to access the site and I was really nervous that time. Then Mark again IMed me and asked for my complete name, but then it was kitchenboi (a code name in our forum) who was able to view my status. And lo and behold, I passed the ACET! Yipee! I was jumping up and down for joy! I passed BS Management, which is also the course of my cousin. BS management daw kc is very versatile because you have the basics then you could just choose what you'll major in during the last year of your course. I was really happy that time because I didn't expect really. Especially because of the aptitude test portion which I found harder than the math part.

That very same day, I received the news that I was also able to pass the University of Sto. Tomas Entrance Test (USTET) with the degree BS Medical Technology. My achy Jessika gave me that news because it was posted on their bulletin board in UST before it was even posted in the net.. I screamed LITERALLY at Hearty's house pa naman because at that time we were making our project in Physics. And last monday while taking our test in hua wen, the principal personally gave me my status letter.. Yes! It's official, I passed the USTET.

University of thePhilippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) was the first to be held, but the last to release its result. I'm disappointed and at the same time sympathized them for that. Well, checking the applications of more than 70,00 applicants is no easy task. Plus They have a lot of campus so determining which campus a student may fit is also a hard work. The acceptance system of UPCAT is quite different. Your High School grades and UPCAT scores are combined to compute for the UPG (university predicted grades). Qualifying for your choice of program is not the problem but qualifying for the CAMPUS is. As what I've heard, UP diliman followed by UP manila has the highest cut off scores since many tends to apply for these campuses so competition is great. Guess what?! I passed the Diliman campus, yun nga lang waitlisted for my chosen course (Psychology). I didn't know kasi that psych is also a quota course because it's included pala in the top 10 most applicants in UPD apply. But nevertheless, I couldn't ask for more especially when you're already competing with about 70 thousand students. hehehe... What's important is that I was able to pass the campus. I forgot to mention pala that it was during our camping in school that the UPCAT results were released. That's why I was already freaking out in school because I don't have any access of the results during that time, my phone's gprs wouldn't work. Again, it was mark who informed me that the results were out. Thanks to the "I'm mobile" status of YM. :-). My bro was the one who checked it out for me. But then, it was mama who txted me.

Now, the real problem begins. I've passed the Big 4, but where shall I go? It's a battle between my dream course (DLSU), dream school (ADMU), stepping stone towards a dream job (pre-med course in UST), and prestige (UP-Diliman). Help! I'm open for any suggestions, comments,. pros and cons or anything. hehe..
